COCA COLA’S CAN GETS A NIP/TUCK

Dzmitry Samal has designed a unique concept for the 33cl concept-cans of Coca-cola. The shape is much more geometric – featuring facets, instead of the familiar smooth round cylinder we’re used to. The new can design utilizes a process called impact extrusion, a process where an aluminum slug (solid piece of metal) is pressed at a high velocity with extreme force into a die/mold by a punch.

FOOD: Forest Milk

The cows which produce this milk are free to roam an unused forest all year round. The milk is supposed to taste better, the theory being that happy cows produce better milk. We like the way the tree graphic reflects the typography as well as the simple yet charming addition of tissue paper covering the bottle cap. Nominated for a Japanese 2009 Good Design Award.
